Long before Bangladesh Tea Company had a name, there was a garden — and a family that had spent generations learning its language. The rolling hills of Sylhet, wrapped in morning mist and nourished by the Surma valley’s rich soil, produce tea of exceptional character. We grew up among these gardens.

Our founders saw a gap between the extraordinary quality of Bangladeshi tea and the way it was perceived internationally. The world was paying premium prices for teas from neighbouring regions, while the same or better leaves from Sylhet went largely unrecognised. Bangladesh Tea Company was born to change that.
